You can order your own driving record through the MS Department of Public Safety (DPS). Your Mississippi driving record has information about your MS driver’s license status (e.g. suspensions and cancellations), traffic violations and convictions. In Mississippi there are two types of driving record, the Non-certified MVR and the certified MVR.

In Mississippi, you can order for a copy of your own driving record either by mail, in person or online. To order by mail, you will need a completed Consent to Release Record (Form DDPA-2), with a self-addressed and stamped envelope. Then mail your payment and the completed forms to the address specified on the form. To order for a copy of your driving record in person, visit any local DMV office with a completed Consent to Release Record (Form DDPA-2), then pay the required amount and your driving record will be issued to you.  To order for a copy of your driving record online, visit the Mississippi DMV website.  You will need to provide your MS driver’s license number, your full name and date of birth. It is important to note that the driving record obtained online is non-certified and cannot be used for official purposes. In addition, you will be charged an additional convenience fee for your online transaction. The state of Mississippi does not offer free driving records the charges for obtaining your driving record either in person, online, or by mail are $11.

You can only order for another driver’s driving record if your request falls under the following authorized uses: requestors with written consent from the driver, government agencies, insurance agencies and employers. For more information visit the MS Department of Public Safety.
