In Tennessee, motor vehicle records (driving records) are provided by the TN Department of Safety and Homeland Security. Your Tennessee driving record contains information about your TN driver’s license revocations and suspensions, accidents and/or points held against you, traffic violations, citations, and fines,  TN driver’s license endorsements and classifications.

You can order for a copy of your driving record in person, online or by mail. To order for your driving record online, you have to visit the TN Department of Safety website and provide your last name, date of birth and your TN driver’s license number. You will be provided with a PDF version of your driving record that you can either print or save. To order for your driving record in person, visit a Tennessee Driver Service Center and provide your last name, date of birth and your TN driver’s license number. To order your driving record by mail, write a request that includes your name, date of birth and Tennessee driver’s license number. Mail the request to:

Your request will take two weeks to be processed. The state does not provide free driving records. If you order online you will pay a fee of $7, and $5 if you order in person or by mail.
