If you need to see a summary of your driving history for any reason, Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) enables you to order for your driving record, also known as a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Your MVR is basically a comprehensive report over a certain period of time that shows your driving history. The driving record shows any violation points against your license, accidents in which you have been involved, tickets that have been issued to you and suspensions or revocations of your license.

There are a number of ways to order for your driving record, you can either order by mail, in person or online. To request a copy of your MVR by mail, you will need to submit a Request for Motor Vehicle by filling form DDS-18. Include the following information: your full name, driver’s license number, birth date, the address where you want the report mailed, self-addressed envelope with a stamp and mail the request to the Georgia Department of Driver Services. To order your driving record in person, visit a DDS customer service center, show proof of ID and submit a completed Request for Motor Vehicle Report (Form DDS-18). A copy of your driving record will be issued immediately. To order your driving record online, visit the Georgia DDS Driving History Report page and follow the instruction. However, when you apply online you will get a non-certified copy. After applying online your driving record will be available for downloading and/or viewing for 30 days after the date of purchase.
