An Alaska driving record has details about a driver’s history, these includes traffic convictions and violations, points and accidents. The Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is responsible for keeping and regulating these records. Whether your employee needs to check your driving record, you have been ordered by the court to provide it or you just want to check your driving record, it is fairly easy to get your driving record.

The state charges $10 to obtain your driving record. Currently, you cannot get your driving record through an online request; however, to obtain it you can submit your request via fax, by mail or in person. For you to obtain it in person, you have to visit your nearest DMV and provide your identification documents. After confirmation of your documents, you will fill out form 419F. If you request for your driving record by mail or fax, you will need to fill out form 419F and submit it. In the case of a mail you have to submit it with a money order and for the fax option, you will have to provide your credit card information. In addition, it is also important to provide your address. The orders normally take a couple of days to be processed.

Driving Record Form

Driver license records are confidential; as a result, you can only get your personal record. However, if you have a signed release form from someone with their consent, you can obtain their driving record. For minors who are 18 years and below, their parents can obtain their records without a release form. Due to the requirement of payment of the research fee and producing identification, it is not possible to request for your driving record through telephone.
